PURIFY The Album - 1.11.11

First off, let me start by saying, "HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!" I really appreciate all the support and great words that have been given to me these last couple of months since my return from trying to commit suicide. That is all behind me now, as a new year begins and solidifies the year anniversary of that particular incident.

Now, I'm back on my grind and have released a mixtape compiled of all original songs that essentially played a factor in the said incident. This FREE mixtape 'Amidst The Darkness - The Prequel' is available via ReverbNation or Bandcamp in digital download form. Whichever one you fancy. This is a digital release only, make sure you pick this up. You'll be able to understand 'PURIFY The Album' in its entirety.

Still in all, you can fully understand the new album as it is definitely inspirational music. It takes you upon a "journey through the independent quadrant of the 408." Staying true to himself and never compromising his style or lyrical content, Myc Ripley is definitely making a statement in San Jose with this album. With topics such as, overcoming self loathing and suicide attempt, conspiracies, losing a job, and having twins amongst other things.

Well, according to the last post I was done with the rap game/scene as a whole. I thought yet again that my words weren't needed in this dark place they call hip hop. Then I asked myself, "who gonna do it if I don't?" The rest is 'Purify - The Album"

After 'Amidst The Darkness - The Prequel' comes "Purify - The Album" The new 20 track release from San Jose's one and only Myc Ripley. Dropping on 01.11.11, this album is a light reflection of the last four years of Myc Ripley. The journey through "the indie quadrant of the 408" will touch on topics from having twins, losing a job, a suicide attempt, conspiracy theories, all entangled in cohesive rhyme schemes and incomparable patterns. The album also has various producers ranging from the UK and Romania back to USA (East and West Coast). With features from Tequila Brown (Sharkstyliens), Journeyman (EOS), Oneself DaVinci (Solar Power) this release will definitely bring more attention to sharkstyle San Jose. "All Good" - Myc Ripley prod by Datsik

Greetings fellow readers!!! I would like to present to you another dubstep track that will be going on the newest album that I am writing for. The album will be entitled, "Transition" It will be a full LP of Myc Ripley over many dubstep tracks from various producers from the bay to the UK!!


Back in January, I touch on this transition starting with "West Coast Rocks" prod by The Glitch Mob out of LA.
