THE NEW AND IMPROVED SLAPP FACTOR
Since The Slapp Factor™ began, it has been promotion for everything Myc Ripley. From music to personal experiences that were few and far between, I have decided to take the blog a lot farther and start debuting/interviewing breakout artists other than myself and my Sharks In A 3 Peace Suit, Sharkstyliens, and L.O.C Covey family. That means more content and definitely more slappers from all over this huge world of music. Going forward, this year I would like to feature an artists every couple weeks that you all should lend an ear to. In these times, a share, a like, retweet, or anything of that nature helps an artist, because you never know who will be the next person to see and take to their music. Coppin’ the music is for sure the goal, but support plays its part in many ways. WE ALL OUTCHEA!! So, let’s make it happen!

"My Champagne" | NEW SINGLE - Sean Patrick | NEMESIS
So, the other night me and the homies were out celebrating my fam No Alias' birthday.. To kick off the night we got off them vintage grape shots then headed to the club where the VIP was waiting for us. We about 6 deep, when the waitress arrived to serve us our bottles (don't worry about what we was drinkin') and they decided to make mimosas after the initial toast of the champagne.. While making them, one of the homies decides to stir up his OJ and champagne... WHOOPS!! Wrong idea, because we all know, or should know that when you shake champagne it get real furious [look at any sports championship]. Well, that shit overflowed and went everywhere. All you could hear from there was the homie R like, "Yo! Don't aggravate the champagne!" Me and Zeem Zeema (Tequila B) were dying laughing at the player words that just came out of the most "non-playerist" dude out the crew mouth.. Which he didn't even know what he said.. Shiiiiiet, the rest is a wrap.. Literally.. I present to you "My Champagne" produced by Diaz Productions. From the forthcoming album "Sean Patrick | NEMESIS" just in time for the summer.. Myc Ripley is Al Trebec [FREE DOWNLOAD MIXTAPE]
"A Long Time Reflecting Evolving Besieging Every Challenge" is the meaning of the name Al Trebec and Jeopardy is the theme of this particular free download. One day I [Dave Slappelle] was on the way to sampling the "Think Music" from the TV game show Jeopardy and somehow came across ten (10) different rhythms for the particular sample. So, what we chose to do was run with the Jeopardy music and make a whole theme out of it. Production is solely by Dave Slappelle for Inf8nitbeatslump Recordings.
Essentially, this tape touches on some issues that have been heavy on my brain for some time now. From certain subliminal messages and doings touching mankind and how we are becoming less and less aware of them. Hence the theme of Jeopardy, our world is for surely in jeopardy. It is slightwieght in the form of how the actual show would go, if it were to present in hip hop form.
I encourage you to download and pass it on to friends as you all have been doing with my last release. It started circulating behind the scenes as a thank you for those who have liked the Myc Ripley facebook fan page. Some people might have this already, but I honestly think that it will be a good 30 mins of your listening pleasures. Only, it vibes pretty well if I have to say so myself. Also, if you know Myc Ripley, you know that he doesn't just rhyme out of nowhere. He keeps to what he knows and has seen. With that being said, this is another real and true to ripL album. It is definitely appreciated and a blessing from you to grab this tape, learn something, and/or pass it on to someone you know that would dig these topics. Bless up.

408 & Heartbreak - Myc Ripley | Available on Valentine's Day | 2.14.12
As the year comes to a close, as well as many relationships (including one of my own). I've decided to take on the mission or idea created by a good producer friend of mine. This project will deal with life in a relationship and life after relationships, especially deep rooted ones.
No, this will not be a sappy "I love you, come back to me" type of album. This will be that unadulterated, look into my life music. Just as I did "Purify the album" this will let you into a part of my life which has been a weight on my shoulders this year, if not for a couple years now.
Production for this album consists solely of instrumentation by Dave Slappelle and Healthy Fresh. Be on the lookout come February for this release from San Jose's own Myc Ripley. "408 & Heartbreak."
Here is a sneak peek at the cover art done by MRGrafhx. Also, a bonus track from the album. I normally don't do mixtape tracks, but this one was too perfect for me to promo with.. Enjoy!

Once again, life calls and I need to answer the door this time...
I know I've been mentioning a step back for your boy in the next coming month.. its funny because I found this in my email this morning.. I'll be at y'all.. if you have my number use it.. all others, I'll be in contact..
A state of standstill is a state of decline. Confusion and disorder prevail. Inferior elements are on the rise, while the powers of clarity and creativity are waning. In such times, the wise take shelter in their own integrity and quietly remain faithful to their highest selves. Retreat from public activities and common exchanges until the time once again favors assertive action.
During periods of stagnation, inferior elements can rise to power. When the inmates are overrunning the asylum, summon up your fortitude, hide your worth and withdraw. Concentrate on your personal affairs with a quiet dignity, even if that means giving up short-term rewards.
Desiring to change a situation too quickly often creates extra conflict. By accepting hardship, while striving to maintain integrity, you are preparing for future growth. A seed of prosperity is often hidden inside the husk of misfortune.
